If you follow the guide below step by step, you will get a flawless result, just as if the measurements were taken in a studio.

Things to Know Before Taking Measurements

• Always write down the unit next to each measurement (cm or inches).
• Hold the tape measure neither too tight nor too loose; take the measurement to fit your body snugly, without adding any seam allowance.
• Take measurements with shoes of the heel height you will wear on your wedding day; heel differences directly affect height measurements.
• Ensure the tape measure is parallel to the floor at all points, not sliding forward or backward.
• Take measurements while wearing a bra and thin, fitted clothing; measurements taken over loose clothing can be misleading.
• If you find it difficult to do it alone, ask a family member or friend for help; some measurements (especially back and shoulder measurements) can be challenging to take by yourself.

Materials You Need to Prepare

A flexible tailor's tape measure, a thin string or elastic to mark your waist, shoes of the height you will wear on your wedding day, and paper and a pen to record the measurements are sufficient.

Step-by-Step Measurement Points

1. Bust Circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your bust, ensuring the tape measure is parallel to the floor. Measure with your natural posture, without tightening.

2. Underbust Circumference

Measure directly under your bust, with your arms resting naturally at your sides, ensuring the tape measure is parallel to the floor.

3. Cup Measurement — From Above Bust to Underbust

Take this measurement with a bra on. Annabella Bridal's upper body bustiers are specially designed for a comfortable and elegant look without a bra; therefore, this measurement is important for your design to fit correctly. Measure the distance from above the bust to under the bust, centering the bust, and also note the following two pieces of information:

• Your bra size
• Whether you use a padded or unpadded bra

4. Waist Circumference

Tie a thin string or elastic around the narrowest part of your waist and do not untie it until the measurement is complete; this string will also be your reference point for subsequent measurements. Measure with your natural posture, without sucking in or puffing out your stomach.

5. Hip Circumference

Measure around the widest part of your hips.

6. Waist Length (Waist to Floor)

Stand straight and measure the distance from your waist reference point to the floor.

7. Full Length (Shoulder to Floor)

Stand straight and measure the distance from the top of your shoulder to the floor.

8. Shoulder to Bust Point

Measure the distance from the midpoint of your shoulder to your bust point.

9. Shoulder to Waist Reference

Measure the distance from the midpoint of your shoulder, passing over the bust point, to the waist string.

10. Back Shoulder Width

Stand straight and measure the distance between the midpoints of the prominent part of your shoulder and where your arm begins, from the back.

11. Front Shoulder Width

Take the same measurement from the front, based on the midpoints between the prominent part of your shoulder and where your arm begins.

12. Neck to Shoulder

Measure the distance from the side of your neck to the top of your shoulder.

Additional Measurements for Sleeved Models

The following four measurements are only required for wedding dress models with sleeves. If you have chosen a sleeveless model, you can skip these steps.

13. Sleeve Length

With your arm hanging naturally and freely, measure from the top of your shoulder to your wrist bone.

14. Bicep Circumference

With your arm relaxed, measure around the fullest part between your shoulder and elbow.

15. Elbow Circumference

With your arm slightly bent, measure around your elbow.

16. Wrist Circumference

With your wrist straight and relaxed, measure its circumference.

Final Check Before Sending

Always double-check your measurements before submitting them to us. Even a small reading error can affect the pattern, so we recommend taking each measurement a second time and comparing it with the initial result.
